Bereavement Support Groups

Working in collaboration and with the support of A L & G Abbott Funeral Directors I am able to offer FREE OF CHARGE bereavement support groups in Bedford. The two support groups meet fortnightly for 6 sessions on a termly basis.

Forget Me Knot

This group is an "OPEN" group meaning anyone can join throughout it's duration, there is no need to register, it is a drop-in facility. The group is held on Monday afternoons at The Church of Transfiguration, Kempston, Bedford.

Connected

This is a "CLOSED" group meaning that you will be with the same people throughout the 6 sessions, pre-registration is necessary. The group meets in my counselling office at Latrobe Cottage, St Cuthbert's Street, Bedford, MK40 3JB which creates a safe space to help those who are struggling with their grief to process their feelings along with other supportive participants.

Supporting Parents after experiencing Miscarriage or Baby Loss

This is a "CLOSED" group, meaning that you will be with the same people for all 4 sessions, pre-registration is necessary. Experiencing miscarriage or baby loss can feel devastating and isolating for parents, grieving can often feel very complex and hard to express. This small support group provides safety for parents to share their story to help process a very painful type of loss with others who have had similar experiences. The group is facilitated by a counsellor who has had specialist training to gently encourage conversations sensitively.  The group meets in my counselling office at Latrobe Cottage, St Cuthbert's Street, Bedford, MK40 3JB.

Please email me, Anne-Marie, if you are interested in reserving a space. New dates will be published on this page and via Connect Counselling's social media links. I look forward to meeting you.
